Diaper Bag Basics – Things You Won’t Want to Forget

What to pack in your diaper bag

For new moms, trying to figure out what goes in the diaper bag can be like solving a mystery. What do you really need? Here is a list of some basics that everyone should include.

• Diapers (enough for however long you will be gone- always include a few more then you think you will need.

• Baby Wipes

• Bottles & Formula if bottle feeding – extra breast pads if nursing

• Water for mixing formula – if you are going somewhere it may not be easy to get

• An extra pacifier – those things always get lost or left behind

• Diaper cream

• A changing pad – can be as simple as a receiving blanket

• An extra change of clothes

• Bibs

• Ziplock bags for dirty diapers, wet clothes and other emergencies

• Small first aid kit including baby Tylenol is a good idea

• Sippy cup for toddlers

• A few small toys

• A burb rag – cloth diapers are great for this

• A disposable camera – not a must but so you never miss out on that adorable picture.
